Regular Member Any professional who is involved in research, teaching and/or public
service and whose activities are related to the study of xenobiotics is
eligible for membership provided that he/she supports the goals and
objectives of the Society as set forth in the Constitution and By-Laws.
Annual membership dues will be determined by the Council of the Society
and must be paid on a continuing basis unless the member submits a
written resignation.
ISSX recognizes the considerable benefit that scientists from disadvantaged nations can gain from our Society. Please click here to see if you are available to renew your ISSX membership at a discounted member rate. Student/Postdoc in Training Member Any graduate or
postgraduate student or postdoctoral scientist who is
involved in advanced training in any area related to the study of
Xenobiotics is eligible for student membership under the following
conditions:
Student membership is available while in training.
The
name and email address of the applicant's research advisor or department head must be provided on the application or on each annual renewal application form.
Student Members have all the rights and
benefits of full membership except that they are not eligible for
elective office in the Society.
ISSX encourages students to join the Society
in the earliest stages of their training. There are a number of
benefits available to students to help make the membership affordable
and rewarding:
ISSX sponsors Regional New Investigator awards at
our major meetings. Details of these awards and a listing of recent
awardees are provided on the web site.
For those students who are unable to afford
membership with ISSX or are unable to attend our scientific meetings due
to financial hardship ISSX has a program whereby one may apply for
financial support.
Our Career Center resource is a great tool for students and postdocs to find employment opportunities worldwide.
The Student/Postdoctoral Networking Forum enables our younger members to collaborate and share information.
Invitations to Student/Postdoctoral networking events held in conjunction with ISSX meetings.
Emeritus Member Any
member who has retired and who has been a member in good standing for at
least 20 years may elect to become an Emeritus Member. Such members
will continue to have all the rights and benefits of membership but will
not be required to pay membership dues. Application for Emeritus status
must be made at the time for payment of dues for the next calendar
year.
