  • The American Association for the Advancement of Science is an international non-profit organization dedicated to advancing science around the world.  Their web site contains a resource called GrantsNet which enables scientists to search for international funding opportunities in the biological sciences.  Click here for more information.

  • The U.S. Civilian Research & Development Foundation is a nonprofit organization that promotes international scientific and technical collaboration. For information about their grant programs, click here.

  • The NIH Director’s Pioneer Award Program is a unique aspect of the NIH Roadmap for Medical Research, a high-risk research initiative of Research Teams of the Future. Pioneer Awards are designed to support individual scientists of exceptional creativity who propose pioneering – and possibly transforming approaches – to major challenges in biomedical and behavioral research.
