Dr. Li Wang joined Professor Jashvant Unadkat’s laboratory as Postdoctoral Research Associate in August 2013. Currently, he is working on quantification of drug transporter proteins in animal liver tissue and hepatocytes using LC-MS/MS to help better predict, using PBPK models, drug disposition in animals. Dr. Li Wang obtained his Ph.D, from the Department of Pharmaceutics, Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013. His Ph.D research was on assessment of the drug-drug interaction potential of anionic components in the diet and herbal medicines on organic anion transporters (SLC22 family). He has received extensive training in transporter, LC-MS-based analysis and pharmacokinetics. Dr. Li Wang has published 13 peer-reviewed research and review papers.
